The Altered File Folder Folio Journal volume 1

THIS ONE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Greetings greetings my lovelies! And i am back with another blog post! lol..I must say I am a bit fascinated with using file folders and altering them. So right now I am working on some altered file folder folios. I am continuing my series of the black Victorian and using my ebony vintage papers, as well as my ebony letters papers. The goal is to make about 5 of these and if one of these belong to you they can be found in my elegant creation store, or you can email me for an invoice.

These are created using the waterfall hinge technique. It is a little lapbook folio, writing journal. This first one I created measures 8×5 on a 1 inch spine folded. Spread out it is 14 inches across. There are 6 waterfall pages filled with pockets, tucks and tags. If this one is yours in my store or by invoice-

I painted the trim with a nice gold metallic acrylic which gives it a rich shine and glow of elegance that I love. The closure is a jewel brad circled with black elastic for easy access. This one is big enough to keep all your thoughts, recipes, letters, cards and such, yet small enough to fit your purse or carry on bag. I simply love the way it came out.

I added some beautiful crystal beads and hanging charms to the closure.

I put a lot of work into this one, not only with the papers but the cover is made of quality strength file folders. I added the tyvek all the way through and painted the edges for added strength and sealing effect. I am very happy with the finished result and i am sure the new owner will be as well.

I added some little pullout journal booklets to this lapbook as well. So freakin cute!

I stuffed this one with some really cute tags and post cards. And left a lot of room to write on my ebony paper collections. The images are stunning and really give this folio the feel of old world Victorian elegance and beauty.

This little beauty will be a great conversation piece or family heirloom for years to come. It holds the energy of great love, peace and abundance.

My Signature Page in this Beautiful Book

OMG take a good look at this beautiful paper collection. I have been working on this new paper collection for about a month now, so to finally be able to bring it forth and present it in journals is a great thrill for me. I am also loving how well the new papers blend with the old ones.

My long term goal is to continually add to this line of papers in the future. Bringing you my versions of the black Victorian is not only a goal, but also an honor and a pleasure.

This waterfall photo mat page is my favorite. I used cut up paper bags to create this look.

The images of the black Victorian women are simply dazzling. I wanted them to look very resplendent and swan likeness. I am humbled with the renditions.

I created all the tags from my favorite card stock stacks. Giving this journal a touch of the professional market place. These are created using the waterfall hinge technique. It is a little lapbook folio, writing journal. This first one I created measures 8×5 on a 1 inch spine folded. Spread out it is 14 inches across. THIS ONE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE

I wanted these little lapbook journals to tell a story of elegance, grace and a softer, more quiet time. I want you to sit down and write your deepest thoughts on the finest, most beautiful papers one could imagine. And I am happy with the accomplishment. lol
