Geisha Art doll

THIS ONE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE

So I’m back in the lab again lol, my lab,…the art room, my craft workshop…you know…lol…and I’m working on this lovely lady. art doll journal is a creation of my art dolls combined with a journal.

Each art doll is created on a paper mache frame with a DAS clay face cover. I then paint them with flesh tones and create the doll body over a box which houses the little journal inside. You can see my video about my art doll journals here— https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KImPqxaynkQ&t=3s

They started with the idea of Marie Antoinette in mind. Now I am just following the enegery of creating. So this little geisha is being created now. I am calling each doll a volume.

Anyone who appreciates art dolls and or journals can surly appreciate the time and effort that goes into creating them both. To have a little keepsake like this I am sure is one of a kind. A beautiful display and a place to journal as well. These little art doll journals will make great gifts as well as keepsake heirlooms.

Meet Geisha artdoll she is what I am working on now. once I finish her and her journal she will be available for purchase in my store and etsy. I will post new pictures as she progresses.

Once she is done i will show her on my youtube channel. If this one is yours you can email me for an invoice or wait for her to hit my store . And she will be available for purchase in my web store at 122.22 and  on etsy at 144.44. much love/

The beginning

Again using detailed paper mache hair and a painted on face. she is coming along nicely. The faces are imperfect and some what indifferent. I simply paint the face on no 3 d effects. Keeping it simple. lol

I do a simple painted face with a sculptured nose raised to give the face some contrast and definition. Afterall this is paper mache lol

Working on her clothing which is a combination of my digital papers and some beautiful india sari.

Here i give you the finished artdoll on the box with a view of the journal cover

And now lets go inside the journal and look at some of these beautiful pages.

I wanted to imitate my large file folder lap-book journal in this one, and it is so divine in a smaller version.

I used the vintage spring papers and the song paper collection for this one, with a few other of my paper collections in between.
